Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities

The Wolf Humanities Center (formerly Penn Humanities Forum) is now accepting applications for its 2018-2019 Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities on the general theme of Stuff. The fellowship is open to untenured junior scholars who have received or will receive their Ph.D. (the only eligible terminal degree) between December 2009 and December 2017. You must have your degree in hand or have passed your defense no later than December 2017 to be eligible.
Research proposals from all humanistic disciplines and allied areas (e.g., anthropology, history of science) are eligible, except for educational curriculum building and the performing arts (scholars of performing arts are eligible).
Fellows teach one undergraduate course during the year in addition to conducting their research (must be in residence during the fellowship year: August 1 – May 31). Stipend: $54,590 plus single-coverage health insurance and a $3,000 research fund.
