Carmen Gloria Cernadas Lema is a Ph.D. candidate currently beginning her Ph.D. thesis at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature with a minor in French Language and Literature and an MA in Advanced English Studies and its Applications, both from the University of Santiago de Compostela. For her BA thesis, she has studied the connection between traumatic experiences and the healing quality of literature and storytelling. Moreover, in her MA thesis, she has examined the relationship between the short story genre and feminist literature, as well as the postcolonial short story, addressing issues related to gender, identity, and marginality.
