The Hungarian government is about to launch yet another attack against academic freedom in Hungary. This time (soon after depriving the Hungarian Academy of Sciences of its autonomy to handle its own budget) they are proposing to ban all gender studies MA programs in Hungary. This is part of a systematic campaign against the autonomy of universities and the social status of every kind of institution where critical thinking is cherished.
